Project Story
Turing’s Solstice
by Yousun
Decode the Last Light
A browser-based code-breaking puzzle game where daylight is your time, Alan Turing-inspired logic is your weapon, and Gemini AI hints cost part of the remaining light.
Theme Connection
The game is inspired by the June Solstice, the symbolic transition between the longest day and shortest night. The daylight meter acts as both time and energy, making light and darkness part of the core gameplay.
Alan Turing Inspiration
The game honors Alan Turing through cipher puzzles, binary translation, algorithmic pattern recognition, and notes about logic, computation, and code-breaking.
Google AI Usage
Gemini API is used as an in-game Solstice Oracle. Players can ask for subtle hints, but each hint reduces the daylight meter by 8%. This makes AI part of the game economy instead of only a helper.
Core Gameplay
Players solve four levels: a Caesar cipher, a binary stream, an algorithmic pattern, and a final combined solstice key. Correct answers restore daylight, while wrong answers and hints reduce it.
What Makes It Unique
The main twist is risk-based AI assistance. Gemini can help, but using it has a cost. The player must decide whether to preserve daylight or sacrifice light for guidance.
